Dr Robert Muggah directs research at the Igarapé Institute, a think and do tank in Latin America. He is also a Research Director of the SecDev Group, an international cyber analytics organisation. He is a fellow at the Instituto de Relações Internacionais in Rio de Janeiro, the University of Oxford, and the University of San Diego as well as the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studiesin Geneva. In 2013, he was named one of the top 100 most influential people in violence reduction and his work on new technology has been featured in the Atlantic, BBC, Guardian, New York Times, and Wired. Dr Muggah, who delivered a TED talk on fragile cities in 2014, is on the council of the World Economic Forum. He earned a PhD from the University of Oxford.
