Theophane Nikyema is the Executive Director of the African Child Policy Forum (ACPF), an independent, not-for-profit, pan-African institution of policy research and dialogue on the African child. He leads and guides ACPF staff to put children in Africa on the public agenda, through the promotion of supportive policies and laws. Prior to joining ACPF, Mr Nikyema worked in international development and child rights. He held various positions in UNICEF and UNDP for over 20 years. His previous posts include UNDP Resident Representative, UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator to Uganda, UNICEF Deputy Regional Director for West and Central Africa, and UNICEF Representative (Mali and Rwanda). He holds a Masterof Business Administration (Claremont Graduate University, USA) and a Bachelor Degree in Economics (Cheikh Anta Diop University, Senegal)
